Saniya Mirza is the tennis icon of India. She created history by becoming the first ever Indian to break in to the top-50 WTA rankings. According to PTI Sania Mirza made a first round exit from WTA Bank of the West Classic tennis tournament. Sania Mirza and her Russian partner Anna Chakvetadze were brushed aside by Czech pair of Eva Hrdinova and Vladimira Uhlirova 6-3 6-4 in the tier II USD 600,000 event at Stanford, USA. Sania Mirza had earlier crashed out of the singles event with a straight-set defeat at the hands of British qualifier Anne Keothavong.Sania Mirza was born on November 15, 1986 in Mumbai, Maharastra and currently stays in Hyderabad.
